Student Information

Certificate of Eligibility/Statement of Benefits Letter

If you haven't done so already, please submit your most recent Certificate of Eligibility or Statement of Benefits letter.

Documentation can be emailed to the Veterans Services Coordinator or hand-delivered to the Veterans Services Office located in the Brock Student Center.

Students can currently print the eBenefits page as proof of eligibility in lieu of a Certificate of Eligibility.

The Post-9/11 Statement of Benefits is an official document and can be accepted as proof of benefits if the student does not have a Certificate of Eligibility.

You must notify our office of:

  • Any change in your schedule
  • Any changes in your program
  • Withdrawal, dismissal, or activation

By signing below, you are accepting responsibility for any overpayment resulting from inaccurate or false information.

You have the legal responsibility of notifying Hawkeye Community College's Registrar's Office of any changes in status or enrollment. Failure to notify this office of any status changes may result in over/under payment and/or delay in receiving your Department of Veteran Affairs Educational benefits. 

Note: VA will correct overpayments by subtracting the amount in question from subsequent payments.
